These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bilet-X desktop application (“the app”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Bilet-X is a local-first desktop widget for notes, tasks, and quick actions. It is provided free of charge, primarily as an open-source project. The source code is available at github.com/Habeeb-Rahman-CA/bilet-x under the license included in that repository.
Subject to these Terms and the open-source license in the repository, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control.
You retain full ownership of the notes, tasks, and any other content you create in the app. Because the app is local-first, that content stays on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for backing up your data.
The app supports optional integrations with third-party services (for example Gmail via Google OAuth). When you enable an integration:
You can disconnect an integration at any time from within the app and revoke its access from the provider’s account settings.
You agree not to use the app to:
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF DATA LOSS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL THE AUTHORS OR CONTRIBUTORS OF BILET-X BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAINTAINING YOUR OWN BACKUPS.
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app (or any feature or integration) at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership of content, disclaimers, limitations of liability) will survive.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where practical, by a note in the release notes. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
